Little Henry Kisses
He backs up and then he charges.
Grabbing onto my arm fat he tells me it's time to get moving.
"Where's my morning surprise," I think.
Always only the brown variety.
He lifts and tilts his head. He panics.
Runs for the kitchen.
He knows what's coming next.
Breakfast.
This whole ceremony lasts but only 10 seconds.
But it's enough to make his day.
He's naughty, rebellious and stubborn.
Just like me.
But who can say no to such a creature?
I indulge him, Daddy hates that.
Loneliness is the only thing that gets him down.
Just like me.
There he is, always around. Always in love.
My little rain drop, my little guy, my best friend.
