Originally bred for hunting in the early 19th century. Sometimes referred to as the Gray Ghost, due to it's distinctive gray coat and unusual eyes.
Cane Corso
The Cane Corso is a large Italian Molosser, which is closely related to the Neapolitan Mastiff. In name and form the Cane Corso predates its cousin the Neapolitan Mastiff. It is well muscled and less bulky than most other Mastiff breeds. The breed is known as a true and quite possibly the last of the coursing Mastiffs. I had the opportunity to come into contact with one. Sadly he has passed on due to bad dog owners. As you can see from this picture, clearly the surroundings are unfit for keeping a dog.
Boxer
The Boxer was bred from the Old English Bulldog and the now extinct Bullenbeisser, and is part of the Molosser group. This handsome dog belongs to a street busker in Japan, notice how well maintained and perfectly groomed he is.
Husky
Husky is a general name for a type of dog used to pull sleds in northern regions, differentiated from other sled-dog types by their fast pulling style. The Alaskan Malamute, by contrast, is "the largest and most powerful" sled dog, and was used for heavier loads. Huskies are used in sled dog racing. In recent years companies have been marketing tourist treks with dog sledges for adventure travellers in snow regions as well.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier
The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is a medium-sized, stocky, and very muscular dog, with a similar appearance to the much larger American Staffordshire Terrier and American Pit Bull Terrier. Although individual differences in personality exist, common traits exist throughout Staffies. Due to its breeding, and history, the Staffordshire Bull Terrier is known for its character of intelligence, fearlessness and loyalty. This, coupled with its affection for its friends, its off-duty quietness and trustworthy stability, make it a foremost all-purpose dog. The breed is naturally muscular and may appear intimidating; however, because of their natural fondness for people, most Staffies are temperamentally ill-suited for guard or attack-dog training. Unfortunately Staffies aren't permitted entry into Singapore. Perhaps due to the fact that many try to pass the Pits off as Staffies.
